UMaine Hockey Coach Red Gendron Talks Black Bear Hockey

A lot of us are still grasping at the last remnants of summer, but guess what: the kickoff (or puck-drop) of the UMaine Men’s Hockey team is just around the corner.  After an October 5 tune-up against New Brunswick and a Columbus Day weekend tilt at the Kendall Hockey Classic in Anchorage, Alaska, the Black Bears get right to work on Homecoming Weekend, as they host the defending National Champs from Union College.

But don’t take our word for it…  The FTS Podcast welcomed University of Maine Hockey Head Coach Red Gendron to talk about this year’s team, the 2014-15 schedule, and how his first year on the job will lead the Black Bears to greater success this year and beyond.

Brian MacLeod also recaps the thrilling come-from-behind win by the Black Bear Football team on Saturday, and of course, we’re getting excited for Fill The Steins’ ‘Rise and Stein’ Homecoming, which is coming up October 17-19!
